Pastor's Note

Theme verse for 2020:, “Trust and commit your way to the Lord. He will do it” Psalms 37:5

It is my privilege to be the Senior Pastor of the Austin Christian Fellowship of India (ACFI) from February 1, 2020. I was invited to preach God’s Word in this church a couple of times in the past and now I am the Pastor of the church. From my participation and observation, I might correctly categorize this fellowship, as a vibrant church with “aspiration,” “anticipation” and “action”.

The Church consists of 4 groups of Christians: 1. Seniors, 2. Adults, 3. Youth, and 4. Children. I have noticed in all these groups a lot of aspirations and enthusiasm to participate in various ministries and a desire to make significant progress in the future. There are 14 ministries of the church to cater to spiritual  needs of each group. The ministries are well spelled out in their leadership and activities. Logistical plans are in place and being constantly revised to make the ministries more meaningful, fruitful and successful.

From the Sunday School children to the seniors of the church, everyone participates with enthusiasm and passion in all the ministries with a goal to be in God’s Kingdom and bring others in God’s Kingdom, and to help each other grow to a higher level of maturity in Christ. The church has so much to offer on all levels that people regularly come for worship service and fellowship from the distance exceeding 50 miles. It is indeed an enjoyable and godly fellowship.

Plans are well laid out for the future development and enhancement in the area of ministry and church building. The church is on a ‘fundraising’ drive for the church building under the capable and committed leadership of the Board and the Trustee Committee. I appeal to all the readers to uphold the leadership and their mission in prayer and also participate fervently in contributing to the Church Building Fund in addition to your regular financial support for the ministry.

When two disciples of John asked Jesus, “Rabbi, where are you staying?” Jesus replied, “Come, and you will see” (John 1:35). Jesus wanted them to experience firsthand who he was. If you have a concern as to what the Asian Christian Fellowship is all about, I encourage you to come and experience the fellowship yourself. I assure you that you will be blessed and will become a blessing to others.

May the Lord continue to bless you in every area of your life.

With many thanks and all blessings,

Rev. Dr. Samson Parekh
Sr. Pastor, ACFI
